Free people are not equal. Equal people are not free. ( As you think about this, it will make sense. )"A gun is like a parachute. If you need one...and don't have one...you'll likely not need one again."Here are six conundrums of socialism in the United States of America1. America is capitalist and greedy...yet a bit more than half the population is subsidized.2. A bit more than half of the population is subsidized...yet they think they're victims.3. They think they are victims...yet their representatives run the government.4. Their representatives run the government...yet they continue to get poorer.5. The poor continue to get poorer...yet they possess things which people in "other" countries can only dream about.6. They possess things which people in "other" countries can only dream about...yet they want America to be more like those "other" countries. If you think about it, the six conundrums neatly sum up life in the U.S.A. in the 21st century. Who in hell is doing the math???See if these three statements don't illuminate the direction of our current government and cultural environment.1. We are advised NOT to judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics. ( Have you ever wondered how something like this could make sense? Funny how the liberal mind works, isn't it? )2. From every nook and corner of politics, we hear that Social Security is going to run out of money. I don't ever remember hearing about Welfare or Food Stamps running out of money. The BIG point here is that the first group...Social Security recipients...WORKED for their money! Are the Welfare and Food Stamp recipients working for their money? It has been established that people in Colorado are using their government benefits to purchase marijuana. Whadda you want to bet that this practice is NOT confined to Colorado.3. Why are we...once again...cutting benefits for our Veterans? Why have we opted for no pay raises for our Military? Why are we cutting our Military Force manning levels...e.g., the U.S. Army...to a level lower than before WWII? YET...we are NOT stopping the payments and benefits to illegal aliens. If we're in such dire financial straits that we have to cut the Military at a time when we're imperiled by multiple enemies, why do we keep giving money and benefits which we don't have and can't afford to a bunch of non-citizens...never-have-beens...streaming across our borders? The only sanity here is that someone...someone in government...is trying to bring down the United States. Why are we condoning this???Surely I'm not the only one who considers these conundrums.Jim Morris
