The IRS’s inspector general has told Congress that it may have discovered as many as 30,000 of the lost Lois G. Lerner emails, despite the IRS’s repeated insistence both in testimony to both Capitol Hill and federal courts that they were beyond recovery, congressional committees said Friday.Investigators are now trying to figure out if they can to the data in a readable format — a process that could take weeks, according to a congressional aide. The inspector general discovered the potential emails among 744 disaster recovery tapes that backup IRS systems, and found up to 30,000 Lerner emails from 2009 to 2011, which covers the period of emails she reported lost in a computer hard drive crash.
I receive this piece of news with reservations. If it is, in fact truth, truth as opposed to doctored documents...and remember, they've had plenty of time to edit the memos, I will loudly applaud the discovery. Given the past six years I have come to the realization that this administration is capable of any sort and extreme of criminal activity or wrong-doing. This makes me leery of the "find". For instance...is the IG who discovered this thread of documents kin to Jonathan Gruber? And they are telling us that there may be trouble converting the data into readable form. How did the IG read them in the first place with the certaincy of being able to announce they were Lois Lerner documents? There may be a lot of questions to be answered before we consider their contents! I found it interesting that the "Muslim in Chief" saw fit to quote the Bible...that same book he's trying to suborn into non-existence...as a reason to bypass Congress and further shred the Constitution as a gateway reason for allowing amnesty for (?) Millions of illegal immigrants. Carrying this merrily forward, I would suggest he...and Lois Lerner...take time to read Numbers 32:23, "...you may be sure your sins will find you out". Did anyone who listened to Obama's speech Thursday night get the notion that Jonathan Gurber might have written his speech? The Gruberesque policy the White House actually announced, as opposed to the policy the President described in his speech, was not merely a directive to emphasize enforcement against those who have committed crimes, or even a simple pause on deportations for millions of people here illegally. The policy the White House actually announced, in a memo from its Office of Legislative Affairs hours before the President's speech, was a 17 point plan including several new programs without Congressional approval, budget appropriation or spending authorization, and many of which the President either didn't mention or which bore only a faint resemblance to what he described in his speech. It is new law, created by the executive without Constitutional authority. The President said in his speech that the new program will allow people here illegally to "come out of the shadows and get right with the law." Meanwhile administration officials explained on the record that he wasn't really legalizing anyone, since he couldn't technically do that. The President also said in his speech that his actions would offer relief only to people who met certain criteria he described, including being in the country for at least five years and having child dependents in the U.S. But the actual policy memo makes clear that "DHS will direct all of its enforcement resources at pursuing" people who are "national security threats, serious criminals, and recent border crossers." This was a Gruber speech. It was designed to sound acceptable to the American people, even if it was largely a lie. With Obamacare, Gruber concluded, “the lack of transparency" was "a huge political advantage” and “the stupidity of the American voter" was "really, really critical for the thing to pass." Listening to a speech in which the President lied about what he was proposing and lied about his authority to implement it, it was hard not to think of the Gruber model – which is really the Obama model, after all. He said what he needed to say to do what he wants to do. In the past few years, President Obama has describer 22 times on video how he doesn't have the legal and Constitutional authority to take many of the actions he announced Thursday night. So what does that make us? Are we really as stupid as he and Gruber think we are? Whatever Obama is, he is not an American president in the iteration of what "we the people" and our Founding Fathers require/required. As a Commander-in-Chief he is clearly the Liar-in-Chief. Is there any doubt or surprise that Jonathan Gruber and Lois Lerner are part of his ilk?
